Introduction to Angels |

In most religions and mythologies, angels are reassuring presences, bringing comfort and the promise of eternal life. The Bible mainly depicts their innocent side - with the notable exception, of course, of the fallen archangel Lucifer. Islam teaches that everyone has two angels, one to record the sins and the other the virtues. At death the two accounts are measured against each other. Hindu angels are called “devas” and responsible for natural elements like water, earth and fire. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints meanwhile, angels are heavenly beings in human form that help spread the work and word of God on earth.
